Ever wondered what's inside the cheap WLToys A959 1/18 4WD High Speed RC Car and what the A959 Magma Buggy is all about? Here is an in-depth look and autopsy of one of the more rare and rebranded A959's, the Magma Buggy from 2Fast2Fun RC!

Since the A959 Magma Buggy seemed to attract some interest in the last WLToys A959 vs A959-B GPS Test, and since I anyway wanted to clean and re-grease the little Magma properly, I thought I might show the disassembly and the features of the A959 here, just for those interested in this line-up of buggies. If you found this interesting, I do have plans of doing a similar autopsy and comparison of the WLToys A959 and A959-B.

I was a little surprised the Magma buggy attracted so much attention and seemed unknown to many in the last A959 GPS Speed Test. In Scandinavia it was a very popular buggy and quite common a couple of years ago and I am quite certain it is identical to the original A959, apart from the body paint job and black wheels. I'm not sure if it is still available/sold anywhere world wide, since the standard A959 seem to have taken over sales here in Scandinavia too now. Anyway, the new standard A959 seems a much better deal now, with it's upgraded metal drive shaft.
