Finally had time to edit this video, which was actually shot earlier this year, in the spring. And then I decided to use a few clips from the previous speed test videos with these two cars, so you didn't had to search for any top speed comparison. It's all here.

To be honest, I really really like this series of RC cars from WLToys. And while I enjoy the extra speed and power from the brushless 124017 I actually often find the 124019 more controllable and enjoyable. But well, happy to have them both!

Although these buggies are set up for racing (similar to the LC Racing models) they actually make up some good fast and cheap back yard bashers, just like the 144001. Despite their size and low ground clearance they have no trouble getting around on the (short) grass, and they are also quite durable. I slightly bend a couple of axles on the 124017 but nothing more, during the shooting of this video.

On longer grass I find that the 124019 struggles a little compared to the 124017. But on the other hand the 124019 has less grip on the grass than the 124017 (due to the carpet-tires) and combined with the lesser power it's actually more controllable on the grass and doesn't flip as easily as the 124107. It is also a lot more easier making it go straight on the asphalt. But the 124017 definitely has it's charm with it's power and top speed.

Looking forward for a visit from the postman one of these days. I'm expecting the brushless WLToys 104002. Will it be interesting with a comparison of the brushed WLToys 104001?
