Chassis preparation with glue: yes or no? In the instruction manual it is recommended to apply CA glue on the chassis edges to seal and protect them. Of course the chassis with the shiny edges of the glue is very nice-looking and certainly the countersunk holes for the bumper’ screws if treated with glue become more resistant. But in my models I tend not to use glue around the edges. This is because for me the chassis is a fundamental element of the car and I have always had the impression that putting glue on the edges changes its flexing properties.
