Russia has acknowledged the deadliest attack on its troops by Ukraine in the nearly year-long war. The strike on occupied Makiivka in the eastern Donbas region came minutes before midnight on Dec. 31. Russian-installed officials in Donetsk said at least 25 rockets were fired at the region overnight on New Year's Eve.
