F1 drivers such as Lewis Hamilton started out not in Go karts but with RC car racing and Lewis is not alone. Ayrton Senna was a massive RC fan of cars planes and boats.
McLaren Racing team's new signing for 2023 is also a RC champion. Oscar Piastri has been Australian Touring car champion at the age of 10. He drove the X-Ray T3 back in 2010.
Is RC car racing a legitimate starting point for future world champions. Will Oscar Piastri follow in Lewis Hamilton's footsteps.
