The problem with upgrading to the 540 motor is that your Grasshopper would flip over lots. The best solution for me is to widen the rear wheel span. Having a wider tire width would definitely help as shown in this video.

The tire width is 50mm against 40mm stock. The hex adapter also pushes out by a good 5 to 6mm.
