Well we finally got some more sunshine here in the UK and it was time to give my new Tamiya Holiday Buggy it's first run. It's running on the tried and tested RWD DT-02 chassis, and I've swapped out the puny standard 380 motor for a much more appropriate 540 Torque Tuned motor and swapped the useless pogo stick shocks for some oil filled CVA shocks from a TT-02 Neo Scorcher buggy. As you will see, the Holiday Buggy rides very smoothly on the yellow CVA shocks and the motor gives it a nice turn of speed. The only other mod I did was to fit a full set of metal ball bearings.
As always, a massive thank you to my partner in crime, Rob of @Rob Brennan RC for the assistance with filming and driving the Holiday Buggy, this hobby wouldn't be the same without you my great friend!

About the DT-02 Chassis:
The bathtub type frame chassis features a longitudinal battery layout for lower center of gravity and optimum weight distribution. 4-wheel double wishbone suspension is equipped with coil spring damped units to provide superb off-road traction. A sealed gearbox protects against sand and debris and is equipped with differential gears to efficiently transmit the power from the type 380 motor. By installing separately available Type 540 motor and corresponding pinion gear, more powerful driving can be enjoyed.
