Yes, you *can* build a sub-250g RC plane with the DJI HD Digital FPV system onboard. My tired old Outlaw 250 is only 9g over the limit and the new airframe I've built is at least 15g lighter. Enjoy a flight with the "almost sub250g" Outlaw and the HD FPV system.
