Happy 50th Anniversary CRCS!
I was invited to come back to Charleston Radio Control Society last October after interviewing them regarding their US 230 geotextile runway fabric from www.usfabrics.com, because the RC club I'm a member of, The Gooney Birds RC Club of Florence SC - www.gooneybirdsrc.com . And reminded several months ago that the offer was still out there for me to accept.
So, I was able to attend their 50th Anniversary Event and enjoyed great flying weather, with some light crosswinds at times, but we all had fun, great fellowship as an RC aviation family. And the catered food was phenomenal! Pulled pork BBQ, Cole slaw, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, hamburgers, hot dogs, desserts galore, and all the other trimmings.
My GoPro Hero was mounted for the onboard video at the right horizontal stabilizer. The eFlite T-28 Carbon Z with 78" wingspan is equipped with a BL60 brushless electric engine, Castle Creations UBEC, 70Amp ESC, Hobby Eagle A3L Gyro, 9Channel Spektrum Reciever, MyTrickRC large aircraft navigation light system, and MrRCSound v4.1 sound simulation system. The landing gear are on a separate 6.0V NiCd battery pack.
