Sit back and enjoy this RC 3 Squadron F/A-18A Classic Hornet
Here is some info.
1/6 Scale F18A Classic Hornet in RAAF 3 Squadron markings.
The jet weighs 25kg, is turbine powered and puts out 26kg of thrust.
It’s 3m long and holds 6 litres of jet A1.
EGT during flight is 650 deg and full power the turbine is spinning at 120000rpm.
It has everything functioning as per the real one. Operational leading edge and trailing edge flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudders (turned in for TO), speed brake, landing gear and gear doors, wheels brakes, anamatronic (moving) pilot, functional LCD screens in the cockpit with info as per the real one, operational tail hook, top speed around 350kmph.
Model featured on static display at the 2019 RAAF Hornet Ball.
