Ok,,, I made some mistakes! First off we had some Santa Ana Winds that were making it very windy. I should have waited for the wind to calm down.
From all the flights I've seen on YouTube this plane flies terrible in gusty winds. Second, I failed to check my aileron and elevator rates which were in
"low rates"- huge mistake. any correction I made to counteract the wind wasn't enough which almost led to two crashes. Third, I usually fly slightly nose heavy on my maiden flights. This first flight I went directly on the CG and with the wind made it even harder to control.
