I've been having the Carisma GT24B Micro buggy for a few years now and its fun to play around with but its been sitting on the shelf for a while. I've enjoyed learning about RWD drifting with my MST RMX 2.0 but I also wanted to try out AWD drifting. I found a set of drift tires for the 1/28 scale Kyosho Mini-Zs and thought it could be a cool, cheap way to try out AWD drifting and give me another RC to run indoors on nasty weather days.
The tires ended up being a little smaller than I thought but they still work! They look a little funny but they get the job done. I'm wondering if there's any bodies I could make work on the buggy to make it look more like a drift car. The buggy comes with a 1s lipo battery but its actually 2s lipo capable and WOW!! The 2s really wakes this thing up. I thought it was a really cool idea and I'm having a lot of fun with it, I have links to the stuff I used below if anyone else is interested in trying it out!
