Pietenpol Sky Scout RC Model Airplane

The Stevens Aeromodel Pietenpol Sky Scout RC model airplane is a wonderfully produced kit by the team at Stevens Aero, but also an attractive and well flying RC plane.

The Sky Scout is similar to the Pietenpol Air Camper. The Air Camper was a two seat design that used a Ford Model A car engine for power. The Pietenpol Sky Scout is a single place variant that uses the less expensive and less powerful Ford Model T engine.

The Pietenpol build is completely straightforward, and as with all of the Stevens Aeromodel kits there is a complete photo illustrated construction manual.

The Sky Scout makes for an ideal RC model airplanes as the original is as close to an enlarged RC model as one can get. The RC model airplane building goes quickly with the quality laser cut balsa, and RC model aircraft flying is very smooth and predictable.

Stevens Aero has a complete list of recommended parts to complete the radio control plane, to include motor, ESC, servos, etc. I used all of their recommendations for my model.
