so far the xtra speed driveshalf still ok, I am having a blast with the brushless system, the Optima Salute or turbo optima handle the power well, even though my vintage RC does not have a slipper clutch, I had so much fun with it, light bashing and very careful driving of course, I know some parts are pretty old like more than 30 years already, and it will break when you push it too far, awesome build quality (Kyosho Salute).

I spend already more than 280 USD including shipping, but cost of the ESC and motor are not included, the extra new body is need for display purposes, I would prefer to buy a new kit ($400 USD), overall you will save money with the extra parts and you get the change to experience building old school 80's premium Kyosho RC.
