Mike’s DAG 60

Right now the flying and landing speed is too high. The model is slightly nose heavy with a hang angle
of 18 degrees. The angle of attack of the blades need increasing. Other trim changes may be needed as
test flying progresses.

Scale like scheme is whimsically based on the Canadian Coastal Command aircraft of 415 Squadron.

Rotor disc is approximately 73 ½” diameter

Weight: 11 pounds 4 ounces

Power: Saito 125 four stroke

Propeller: Master Airscrew 16-6

Covered with UltraCote

Blades covered with UltraCote “fake” Carbon Fiber covering!

Rotor spindle is an AstroFlite 710 “Super box” with a ¼” X 28tpi shaft supported by two ball bearings.

Rotor plate is 1/16” thick G10 garolite fiberglass sheet with a separate double layer underneath acting
as an anti strike plate to prevent the rotors from flexing downwards on bad landings.
