Infrared Thomas The Tank Engine conversion to 27MHz. I had hoped to be able to access the sound effect but it looks like the sound is processed on the same COB chip as the infrared receiver decoding so there is no way to get to it. However I was able to make use of the 27MHz receiver board that I had previously damaged by killing the left/right motor output. As this train only goes forward and backward it gives all the control I need. It also has output for the LED to indicate the power is ON so I was able to use that too.
