This is the first time I was able to film the flight of this Foam 105mm EDF HSD Super Viper.

HSD have two versions of Super Viper. One for Turbine and another for 105mm EDF. Type of foam used for both versions are different.

Turbine version is constructed of Ultra High-Density EPO foam which enable the plane to handle higher flying speed and heat from the Turbine. The downside of the Turbine version is weigh. With fuel, the total weight of the Turbine Version will exceed 7 KG and will required a bigger Turbine with a minimum thrust of 6 KG.

Flying anything weight more then 7 KG will required a pilot to have a UA Pilot License (which is similar to FAA Part 107) from our local Aviation Authority.

Pilot Heng wanted a Turbine Super Viper which is below 7 KG because pilots only need to have an UA BASIC Certification to fly. The solution is to buy the lighter EDF version of the Super Viper and tail mount a Xicoy X45. Solve the problem of weight and heat from Turbine by tail mounting it.
Total weight with fuel is just around 4.5 KG.
