Stall is a reduction in the lift coefficient generated by a wing as angle of attack increases. This occurs when the critical angle of attack of the wing is exceeded.

Due to the stall the wing produces less lift and more drag. The increased drag causes the speed to decrease, so the wing will produces even less lift. Resulting is the RC Plane will lose altitude very rapidly.

The critical angle of attack is typically about 15 degrees, but it may vary significantly depending the wing model.

In flight dynamics a spin is a special category of stall resulting in autorotation (uncommanded roll) about the RC Plane longitudinal axis and a shallow, rotating, downward path approximately centred on a vertical axis. When? If both wings stall, but if the angle of attack of each wing, and consequently its lift and drag, are different.

This situation causes the RC Plane to autorotate toward the stalled wing due to its higher drag and loss of lift. Spins are characterized by high angle of attack, an airspeed below the stall on at least one wing and a shallow descent. Recovery and avoiding a crash may require a specific and counter-intuitive set of actions.

Don't forget to do your Preflight Checklist:

- Make sure you start with a full charge battery! Use a battery checker to verify...
- Check your CG every time before take off...
- Controls Ailerons, Elevator, Rudder and Trottle...
- Before take off, observe the space around you carefully and draw your flight plan on your brain.
- Observe in detail the wind conditions around you and adjust your flight plan accordingly...
