The angle of the dangle is directly proportional to the square hypotenuse of the sum of the KV times motor diameter.......... only joking. This project was just a wild chance at trying to make an EDF work on a small glider plane, but it worked. The only issues were -
(1) To install a pretty small edf 70 mm diameter that could produce enough power with anything from 1000mah to 1600mah 3cell
(2) Make sure you maintain a proper C of G.
(3) Issues like pitch and twist/torque roll can be trimmed out and subsequently made right by going with an adjustable assembly (zip ties-not glue) to allow for fixes after initial testing which..
(4) Should be done from the ground in the first instance to minimize damage.
(5) Early flights are very promising but i will need to fix the elevator assembly and will probably move the edf further forward to enable removal of unnecessary weights and lighter/slower flights
