The Hourglass is a maneuver that consists of doing a very tight nose-down funnel and then proceed to piroflip it.
The most important part is that it's done WITHOUT STIOPPING THE TIGHT FUNNEL.
In other words while you're transitioning between top funnel and bottom funnel the heli needs to stay tight-funneling without stopping and without losing the funnel angle. It's a very demanding maneuver and requires a lot of practice. I think I need at least 1 month of continuous practice to be comfortable with it. I'm nowhere near comfortable yet but hopefully I'll get there.
