Speed, speed and…mooore Speeeeeeeed…more & more, higher & higher SPEED…
The “rules of sales-capitalism” are writing the promoting-statements:

“The competition claims 40kph… OK, then of course OUR model makes 50kph…at least…”

When you are looking at remote controlled (RC) cars, trucks and boats nowadays you are always and everywhere quite aggressively confronted in advertisement by higher, higher, higher…and HIGHER SPEEDs right out of the box RTR. You just must go to any toy-store and you will be confronted with claiming fantastic, fascinating top-speeds getting higher and higher…
The performance-wise quite nice to have and for most novice-drivers more than adequate, even challenging “30kph” became “Just Nothing” anymore…even toy-grade cars and trucks with their sometimes even still sort of “digital all or nothing” steering and throttle controls are promoting top-speeds of at least 30kph, but mostly even 40kph, 50kph or higher on their packages and in the manufacturers advertisements…????????
Of course,
there is no real control of the hot topic “RC Top-Speeds”…
So, why not getting a little bit carried away with this all attractive hubris in promotion…?
Well, quite nice to talk about all this maybe high-speeds in advertisement…but where is the reality…?
We as RC hobbyists through & through since “ever” and ambitioned & successful RC-Car-Racers on national and international level for long times know a lot about the realistic speeds of RC-cars and trucks…and we want to talk about REALITY and not fantastic sounding speculations…

RC-SPEEDs in advertise…?
NO dreaming…!
