The Volantex Phoenix 2m glider used to have a propeller. Now it has an 80mm electric ducted fan taped onto the fuselage behind the cockpit. In this video, I fly up and around Thomas Dalton Park. I was flying line of sight, the footage is POV.

Let's talk RC and anything else happening in your life. Maybe you came here from RC, maybe this video was recommended because it's in essence, a vlog. Either way, it's cool here. We're all friends!
A few words about the Glider Jet
What I like about the Glider Jet:
1. Can launch from the ground and terrific ground handling
2. Sounds amazing
3. Flies predictably and balances well
4. You can tape an edf on and it actually works
What I don't like about the glider jet:
1. Complacency may mean the edf may randomly fall off mid-flight
2. Takes up a fair bit of room
3. Uses expensive 6s 3300mAh batteries
4. Not entirely sure about the structural integrity over time (fair amount of wing flex at high speed)
Enjoy the video and do all of those lovely things like commenting, liking the video and subscribing to Life with Nick and Hayley.
