I bought the MST RMX 2.0 RWD Drift car a while back to try my hand at RC drifting and I've been learning a lot but I still have a ways to go. The Skyline body looks awesome but I knew it would get beat up as I learned and figured I do something more custom later on. While I'm still not confident in my drifting skills, I started getting anxious to build a scale body for the car. I had some really cool ideas and wanted to make something scale looking and different.
I picked up the C7 Chevy Corvette body from Protoform and it fits the car nicely but that's not different enough for me. I found some SRC fender flares or widebody kits and looked at a few to figure out which ones would fit the body. None of them are specifically made for the body so I knew I'd have to do some custom fitting but that seemed like fun. I had to cut up the flares a lot but I'm really happy with how it came out. Up next is some more scale details like a spoiler, maybe exhaust, tow hook, and whatever else I can think of.
