The Eurocopter AS565 Panther is the military version of the AS365 Dauphin twin-engine utility helicopter. The helicopter is used for a wide range of military tasks, including fire support, combat missions, anti-submarine warfare and search and rescue operations.
In addition to the two pilots, the Eurocopter AS565 Panther can have up to ten fully armed soldiers on board at the same time. The main cabin can be quickly reconfigured to perform various roles such as troop transport or medical operations.
The RC helicopter variant of the AS565 Panther Eurocopters shown here is an extremely detailed replica model in 1/4.8 scale. All flaps, doors, engine parts and controls are 1 to 1 based on the original.
The RC Panther helicopter is powered by a Jadowsky Pro 600 turbine. The turbine reaches a speed of up to 19,700 rpm
After starting the turbine, it takes about a minute for the main rotor to generate enough lift to allow the model helicopter to take off. The RC helicopter then climbs steeply into the air and demonstrates the full power of the RC-controlled turbine. The helicopter accelerates and makes its rounds at high speed. Then follow several low flights just above the ground. The flight image of the RC Panter helicopter is very fascinating and shows a powerful presence.
