The Bell 412 is a turbine-powered, multi-purpose helicopter manufactured by Bell Helicopter, which is available in civil and military versions.
The areas of application for the Bell 412 helicopter include sea rescue, offshore operations (overseas flights, e.g. to supply oil platforms), military operations, rescue services and firefighting.

Depending on the purpose, the Bell 412 can be equipped with various additional equipment, such as a weather radar, a cable winch, a searchlight or fire extinguisher containers.
The Bell 412 has a four-blade main rotor and a two-blade tail rotor. The helicopter can be delivered with landing gear or skid landing gear.

The RC helicopter variant of the Bell 412 that can be seen here is based on the model of the fire-fighting helicopter of the Los Angeles Fire Department. The RC helicopter is an extremely detailed model of the Los Angeles Fire Department. All flaps, doors, winch, landing skids and rotors are a 1 to 1 copy of the original.

However, the RC Bell 412 is not driven by a turbine, but by an electric motor: Kontronik Pyro 700-45 with controller Kontronik: Kolibri 140 HV

After takeoff, the RC Bell 412 flies several laps over the airfield, accelerating and climbing high into the sky at a rapid pace. The pilot also lays down a low-level flight. Due to its size, the flight pattern of the RC Bell 412 helicopter looks almost like the original copter.

The design of the RC helicopter is outstanding and particularly well done. The model builder has made the following changes and improvements: Scale lighting: rear, ACL flashers, position lights and retractable landing lights Antennas, cable cutters, grab handles, position light housings redesigned. Overhead panel, rotor brake lever and fabric covering in the interior.
Floor area designed with aluminum corrugated sheet metal. Foot pedals in the cockpit.
Various covers for inspection openings (primarily in the lower area) and condensation drain tubes attached. Step bar for the pilot entrance.

The work was worth it. The RC Bell 412 is a particularly beautiful model that was also awarded the title "Best of Scale" at the air show in Waldalgesheim.
