Hi Guys,
So, since I haven't replaced the spun front spider gear in my 12428 Across (only the 2nd failure in 2 years and what must be 50+ runs), I'm showing Parts 1-3 of my 1995 "BTTF" (Back To The Future) Team Associated "World's Car"/ACROSS Buggy, at my recently discovered local RC Track.
ACROSS Buggy?
Yes, I raced this car many times back in it's hey day and then put it away for 2 decades.
After buying my 12428 Across and loving it, I've replaced all the 1995 electrics and Nicad Battery with the stock 1/12 12428/12423 ACROSS 18T 540 Motor, Speed Control and Servo, plus Banggood ZOP 2200mah 35C & 45C Li-Po Batteries.
I LOVE this buggy and you may be able to see why I've saved it after all these years.
For about $50, I put all the modern electrics and battery in what was a brilliant RC buggy then, and it still is.
This little RC track is also very fun. Although, as I walked the track and put the wing back on (several times you didn't see) and turning it back upright (ditto), I noticed many, MANY little 1-2" holes in the ground.
Humm, that's ODD.
OoohHHh (as you hear Olive Oil's Voice In Robin William's POPEYE); "Rattle Snake, RATTLE SNAKE"!!!!!!!
I didn't see any, but that thought suddenly was in full focus as I bent down to pick up my car.
I now lead with my wooden leg!!!!! ;-)

PS; my 12423 "Onroad" truck "Blue Bling", with dozens of runs (see my other youtube videos of it) has NEVER had a plastic diff gears failure (or any other drivetrain failures), so save your "got to go to all metal gears" speech for someone else!!
