The Sukhoi Su-30 is a two-seat Russian supersonic multirole fighter aircraft, equipped with twin turbofan engines. The jet reaches a maximum speed of Mach 2.35 and has remarkable flight performance. This applies above all to the SU-30 variants with thrust vector control. This special thrust control enables the jet to change direction very abruptly and gives the aircraft extremely high maneuverability.
Like the original, the RC plane variant of the Suchoi Su-30 type on a scale of 1:7 also has thrust vector control and therefore also has outstanding flight characteristics. Of course, the RC SU 30 does not reach supersonic speed, but it is much more agile and manoeuvrable than the original.
Vector control allows the RC Su-30 to turn on the spot in the air, make extremely tight turns, or simply hover in the air while staying in place.
This allows the RC Plane a breathtaking flight picture. The experienced pilot Ralph Losemann shows one impressive maneuver after the other. Even the first action after the start is brilliant: a multiple pirouette around the longitudinal axis of the aircraft. Ralph Losemann knows exactly how to push the RC Jet to its limits to provide an impressive air show.
Knife edge flight, aircraft turns 180 or 360 degrees on the spot, vertical climb, spinning, or low level hovering over the runway. The pilot shows all of this during the flight demonstration with the RC SU-30 Jet. But the best comes at the end. A spectacular landing approach from a high altitude with the engines off.
