Endlich: Am 12. und 13. August 2023 veranstaltet die Modellfluggruppe Goldener Grund e.V. (MFG) auf dem Römberg bei Hünfelden-Kirberg ihre 51. Modellflugtage.

Die Veranstaltung beginnt am Samstag ab 9:00 Uhr mit dem Einfliegen, bei dem sich die Piloten mit den Platzverhältnissen vertraut machen. Zuschauer haben dabei die Gelegenheit, die Modelle aus der Nähe anzuschauen und sich über den Modellflug zu informieren.
Nach dem Tagesprogramm, das mit außergewöhnlichen Flugvorführungen gefüllt ist, endet der Samstag nach Einbruch der Dämmerung gegen 22:00 Uhr mit der imposant effektvollen Nachtflugshow. Hier starten Modellflugzeuge, die mit verschiedenen Beleuchtungsmitteln ausgestattet sind, oder sogar speziell für den Nachtflug gebaut wurden, von einer beleuchteten Piste. Die Show begeistert die Zuschauer mit spektakulären Kunstflugfiguren im Nachthimmel jedes Jahr aufs Neue. Begleitet von Lichteffekten und Musik wird hier ein eindrucksvolles und einmaliges Erlebnis geboten!

Das Programm am Sonntag bietet neben vielen weiteren, attraktiven Flugvorführungen als zusätzliche Highlights die Überflüge und Kunstflugeinlagen manntragender, „echter“ Flugzeuge. So werden nachmittags der „Dauergast“ des MFG, Walter Eichhorn in einer Extra 330 LT erwartet, oder Tony Eichhorn, der mit einer TB-30 sein Können über dem Platz zeigen wird.
