Sorry for the typos in teh video. :)

First flight with my new MIR-25 Boxfat with a 145 mm 3D printed EDF. This plane is still experimental. The first one crashed when the ESC burned and cut power to the motor. This time the ESC held up, and it was insanely powerful. The speed it attained on the first high speed pass was surprising, and it will reach altitude effortless.

Unfortunately a severe flight characteristic reared its ugly head low speed with the gear down which caused big problems for me when it was time to land. The plane was oscilating sideways, and it increased as the speed decreased. After the flight I thought the v-stabs might have been blanked more and more at high alpha, but I remember I had good rudder authority.

I think a yaw gyro is needed to dampen the yaw oscilation when the gear is down because it was REALLY bad and I was lucky to save the plane. I had lots of rudder authority, but was not skilled enough to counter the oscilation well enough to land. Both aileron and rudder input worked to oppose but rudder seemed most effective at the time, and I almost had it.

The flight used ~3500 mAh of battery capacity, of 5000 mAh total.

Significant differences between the setup of the old and the new plane:
-Wheel doors added.
-Around 1 kg lighter
-Slightly more noseheavy this time, at or very slightly ahead of the forward CG bump.
