Quick video of my first attempt to make a 3D printed plane. I tired to make a 3D Printed version of Frank's FF-Mini-Dragon RC Plane. The model went together pretty good. I am still learning the proper settings and stuff for PLA and PETG filaments. Overall I thought the model came out pretty good. The maiden flight started out OK on the take off, but then I quickly crash it. I think part of the crash was caused by pilot error, I rolled it over too much and went into a dive. Then the plane lacked enough pitch authority to get out of the dive. I think the CG may have been a little nose heavy too. I may rebuild this plane or do something totally different for my next attempt at making a 3D printed plane.
