The 2019 Schools and University Payload Challenge is now open for entry.

An October launch gives teams plenty of time to plan, build and test their designs over the winter and spring, ready to compete in summer 2019.

If this looks like something you and your friends would like to get involved with, or maybe you're a teacher, youth group leader, Scout group leader and think this would be a great challenge for your group, the BMFA would like to hear from you. It really is the perfect way for students to enjoy the world of model aircraft whilst having fun with their friends.

The idea behind this film is to give potential competitors a real taste of what the event is all about and encourage them to take part. As you can see it's a really fun and exciting event with plenty of friendly competition, but equally draws on many skills that our future engineers will need as they move forward into their careers. It also shows how many entrants travel from overseas to take part in this unique challenge.

We also love how the film shows your National Centre at its very best, a beautiful location with perfect flying facilites being enjoyed by everyone.
