Well, the stickers have arrived in record time from the UK and we can now begin to mask and paint the Tamiya Mercedes AMG DTM. As you would have seen in my other videos on this particular model the original builder did not carry out the painting process and also applied the stickers directly to the protective film, hence why I have had to purchase a new set of stickers.
This body has been painted using Tamiya black PS-5 polycarbonate paint and has had three even coats applied, which is basically what you would get in one can of this paint. There is still a little cleanup work to be carried out on the body by way of sanding and finishing. In the next video, I will be applying the stickers and will be adding the detail work on the body.

I am not sure yet if I should trim away the 'tinted' portions of the window stickers allowing the clear view of the immaculate chassis that lies beneath.
