Welcome race fans to the 2017 southern Alberta trophy race "Rocky Mountain Meltdown" hosted by R/C Gears.
Nitro/E-Buggy racing here in Alberta is an excellent way to spend a Sunday either watching or racing. Fun for all ages and skill levels this event is put together from pure passion and teamwork including a lust for speed. XRAY’s Ty Tessmann took the TQ in all 3 rounds of nitro buggy and started on pole for the main where he was able to go on and take the win in front of Team Associated drivers Eric Hardy and Peter Tozser in second and third respectively.

For me this event was a first and not the last, meeting Tessman was pretty cool, I noticed how he was always the first on track for marshalling and track prep and really thats what this sport is all about, teamwork. Without all the great folks working hard and putting in time these events would not exist. So if your in the Calgary Alberta area make sure you check out the info provided below and come visit!
