???? ???????? Freewing F-104C Starfighter Silver High Performance 9 blades 90mm EDF Jet (1900kv inrunner)
The world's largest foam EDF model of the F-104! 1:8.8 scale. Based at George AFB, California, January 1959. The personal mount of commander of 479th Tactical Fighter Wing. Crashed in January 1959.

Wingspan 755mm, long 1720mm, weight 2900gr empty, (Afterburner LED from Frank Born on Facebook: 37gr. At 50% throttle stock’s ring red LED afterburner switch on and my added afterburner from Frank BORN (contact him on Facebook) is on at 80%)
with CNHL5000 70C 3728gr!
- 90mm EDF 9 blades (4.3kg thrust!)
- 3672-1900Kv brushless inrunner motor (weights 443gr, EDF included)
- 130A ESC, 8A UBEC, EC5 Connector

Book CG 78mm but maiden 80mm (aft of front wing screws) with gear down!

My MAIDEN Rates (⚠️way TOO LOW):
-Low: aile 7mm (25%), elevator 10mm (20%), rud 10mm (25%)
-Mid: aile 11mm (35%), elevator 15mm (27%), rud 18mm (45%)
-High: aile 17mm (50%), elevator 21mm (37%), rud 27mm (65%)
-Flaps: 27/41mm WITHOUT elevator compensation (not good!)

My good rates (final settings) for the 2nd flight:
-Low: aile 17mm (50%), elevator 22mm (37%), rud 10mm (25%)
-Mid: aile 20mm (59%), elevator 25mm (43%), rud 18mm (45%)
-High: aile 23mm (67%), elevator 30mm (52%), rud 27mm (65%)
-Flaps: 27/41mm with 12% UP elevator compensation

LiPo placement CG 80mm:
- CNHL 5000mAh 70C (828gr) see marks on photo.

- Flight and LiPo:
1st (filmed): CNHL 5000 70C: 2m49 (2m44 motor): 3.86v
2nd fast (filmed): CNHL 5000 70C: 3m20 (2m54 motor): 3.79v

Notes:
I cut 2.5 coils on the nose gear spring and now it’s a smooth strut ????
Balance it neutral (flat) with gear down.
This aircraft flies very well, but it comes with a gyro for a reason.
You’re going to need a solid 40% throttle on landing approach for a smooth descent. Do not cut the throttle.
Fly it down at 40%, slowly decrease throttle as you gently pull the nose up. You should have a sweet, greased touchdown at about 20% throttle.
