CESSNA 182 400 CLASS | MAIDEN FLIGHT: ESSENTIAL RC FLIGHT TEST

First flight of our small 400 class Cessna 182 and sadly it would not take off from the grass despite it being relatively short. There is not a lot of wheel exposed below the bottom of the spats so no great surprise. So a plan B was needed! We got a few yoga mats off eBay and this allowed us to successfully get this Cessna into the air. Amazingly, despite the 20mph+ winds this little Cessna performed really well. It certainly has the power to cope with strong wind and the control to ensure you keep it pointing in the right direction. Technical glitch prevented us from filming the landing but no great loss because the spats prevented the Cessna from staying on its wheels when it touched down.

If you are lucky enough to fly from a site with a hard runway then this little Cessna is a no brainer. It's a lot of fun to fly whatever the weather and its cheap !
