Amazing F-18 Hornet scale model suffers a tragic accident when the plane suddenly catches fire just a few moments after taking off, causing its two Merlin 200 XBL gas turbines to stop almost simultaneously, leading to a terrible crash.

It is a true pitty to watch such a fantastic model go down like this.
My deep condolences, to the owner.
Thankfully, no one got hurt in the crash.

Cerdanya Jets is an international R/C jet meeting organized in Catalonia, in the historical region of the eastern Pyrenees commonly known as 'La Cerdanya'.

The event gathered 76 pilots from all over Europe, including France, Spain, Italy and Switzerland, and amounted to over 100 aircraft.
