BOB SENT THIS INFO OVER ON HIS FLASH -

A CARF Ultra Flash in the desirable ‘Shui’ scheme with Behotec air retracts, Jet 1A trailing link legs and Intairco wheels.
It has a mix of high quality JR and Futaba digital servos all round and the radio is a Multiplex Royal SX16.
Model was bought second hand with a full set of Revoc wing, tail and fuselage bags in matching custom colours. It has custom, heavy-duty extension leads with Multiplex connectors for the wing, Powerbox Sensor switch and twin receiver LiPos. The original build and radio install was by Steve Elias.

Model specification:

Ultra Flash
Wingspan – 70” (1800mm)
Length – 81” (2065mm)
Retracts – Behotec C36 with trailing link undercarriage legs

Turbine – Jet Cat P-160SX running in full carbon bypass with Jet Cat FOD guard.
Fuel system – Consists of standard 2.2 litre fuel cell plus additional 1.4 litre wing tank and bubble trap hopper tank.
Model was originally flown with a Jet Cat P-120SX, which was easily fast enough for me. However, I needed the turbine for another project, so I installed my ‘spare’ 160 as it was the same size, but gave a large increase in power. It is crazy fast now and is rarely flown at full throttle.

The Ultra Flash is a superb flyer. It is way better than me! But I absolutely love flying it, so it’s definitely a keeper.
