It’s Supra vs. Supra down the ¼ mile on this episode of Driver Battles: Drag Edition, giving us a 2020 Supra drag race for the ages. Driving Line heads back to the Texas Motorplex to see just how low the times for these heavily modified A90 Supras on Nitto NT555RIIs can go. While it might be easy to assume the one with the higher horsepower will win, this is a race, not a dyno pull. Driver skill always matters, and anything can happen at the light.

While these 2020 Supras may have started out stock, they haven’t stayed that way, and both owners have added mods to get them down the dragstrip as fast as possible. Starting with Vinh Trieu’s yellow A90 Supra build, he has added a Pure 800 Turbo, a Snow Performance methanol kit, an FTP charge pipe, a Boost Logic downpipe with full titanium exhaust and 305/35R19 Nitto NT555RII tires in the rear. All this has led to his Supra now putting out 650hp, and he’s shooting for 10s.

Trevon Messina’s 2020 Toyota Supra has been modified in a similar way, but with a few key differences. He also has a Pure 800 Turbo, along with an ETS exhaust, an E30 tune and Nitto NT555 G2 tires up front and NT555RII tires in the rear. His car now puts out 580whp, which makes for a great matchup. Fun fact: Trevon won his Supra in a raffle. It turns out you really can win something awesome that way.

These two cars show just how great of a platform the new Toyota Supra can be, can we can't wait to see another new Supra build in the future. And we can't wait for another new Toyota Supra drag race.
