The IFMAR World Championship of electric formula radio controlled cars (RC Cars) took place in exotic South Africa, in a beautiful, newly build and huge Welkom arena during 12th – 19th August. The best of the best drivers from all around the world joined the event to be able to compete for the most valuable trophy – the World Cup title. For drivers as well as for manufacturers, the World title is considered to be a peak of their 2 years effort. Therefore nobody came to the race unprepared. This was the first when the World Championship was held also in formula category.

Jan Ratheisky with his formula RC car XRAY X1 was the man to beat since the start. With a dominanting performance won gualification and took the first ever World Cup title in formula category after two A-main wins.

Great performance for XRAY X1 as 9 out of 10 drivers used this car.
